Festiwal poetycki „Vilnius Crossroads”:

Termin: 27.06.2016 - 29.06.2016
Miejsce: Muzeum Dom Rodzinny Venclovów w Wilnie
Muzeum Dom Rodzinny Venclovów w Wilnie w dn. 27-29.06.2016 zaprasza na festiwal poetycki „Vilnius Crossroads”: We would like to invite you to a poetry forum “Vilnius Crossroads”, which will be held in Vilnius on June 27-29, 2016. It is organized by the Vilnius Memorial Venclovai House-Museum as part of the larger project “New Eastern European Dialogues." The forum will feature several poets from East European countries, including Maria Stepanova (Russia), Dmitry Kuzmin (Latvia), Ryszard Krynicki (Poland), Andrei Khadanovich (Belarus), Anna Frajlich (USA), Tomas Venclova (USA). Apart from poetry readings, the program will include public discussions on writing in the diaspora and the metropolia, the significance of borders and border-crossing in the historical and political contexts, and other issues relevant to East European poetry in the twentieth- and twenty-first centuries. We hope that the forum will result in a modest bilingual anthology. The choice of Vilnius as a platform for the forum has to do with the history and geography of the city, which has always served as an intersection of several East European cultures and languages, inspiring such poets as Adam Mickiewicz, Czeslaw Milosz, Joseph Brodsky and others. The forum is partly supported by the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture.
